Marit FilgerTo persist on it

Since a long time I am writing an article, which is not for the Rubicon Contest brochure. Normally I am responsible for the Rubicon Contest brochure; I need to put all the files together and send them then to Ireland. Yasmin, our designer of the contest brochure is in her study abroad semester in Dublin and it is now my responsibility that she does not need to take the plane to Germany to layout the brochure. Now probably the question comes up what I am doing in detail?

Besides writing new articles for the brochure, it is me, who checks if everything is existent. So I am testing pictures for their resolution, texts for their lengths and existence. This may result in a fight to obtain them, when I remember the other team members to send in certain documents I need – the only strategy that works is to persist on it.

You might think the biggest problem would be to keep contact to Yasmin in Ireland. But working with somebody and only keeping contact by mail or even telephone actually works great – and the first drafts she sent me are awesome. And the “persist”-strategy is paying off, so we will be finished with the brochure earlier, than we all might thought. How the contest brochure looks like will be a surprise to be unveiled in March.

Finishing the brochure does not result in free time for me, in addition I work on the Recreational Activity Booklet and Information Booklet. It will also be unveiled in March. Until then I will be working hard on both and bring the brochures to perfection.
